Welcome to PatMsTravelPics
A blog for Travel images both digital and some film and slide archive scans. Before digital when film was king and there was no such thing (with the exception of the Instamatic) as an automatic point & shoot camera. Photographers actually had to know what an F-Stop was - how shutter speed and aperture worked hand in hand with ASA ratings and that pushing a film's ASA to a higher rating with different chemicals in the lab was all part of the magic of painting with light.

I set up this new blog in order to accommodate and share the scanned images of the literally thousands of negatives and slides I have saved going back to almost the very beginning of my enchantment with the magic of image making. I enjoy mixing it up so while my Flickr account is primarily recent all digital work some select film scans are also being posted to Flickr and I have added a sidebar gadget for that account. If this all goes as planned each new image I add to any Picasa album will appear at the very top of this home page. Hope you will bookmark or subscribe to this site and follow me as I re-vist the places we have been to.
